Santa Rosa Buffalo Rock facility project submits plans to county
Buffalo Rock is moving closer to bringing a distribution facility to Santa Rosa County.
Developers affiliated with the Birmingham-based company, which bottles Dr. Pepper and Pepsi products, have submitted plans to County development services for the construction of two facilities at the Northwest Florida Industrial Park at I-10.

Honduran sentenced to 9 years for $2.8 million immigration fraud scheme
A Honduran national, who had been living in Pensacola, has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for orchestrating a massive immigration fraud scheme involving over 425 victims nationwide. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama oversaw prosecution for the case.

Florida Attorney General’s medical fraud control unit secures nearly $150K from medical equipment supplier
Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit secured nearly $150,000 through a multistate action against Lincare Inc., a durable medical equipment supplier. The action resolves allegations that Lincare knowingly submitted, or caused to be submitted, false claims to various government health care programs, including Medicaid, for conduct related to its rentals of non-invasive home ventilation devices.

Multi-agency investigation leads to arrest of 12 suspected sex predators
Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) officials were at the department’s Pensacola office Tuesday, March 12, to announce the arrests of 12 suspects charged with seducing a minor to engage in sexual conduct, traveling to meet a minor for sexual activity and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
