A century is quite a milestone. For United Way of West Florida, it’s a history they are proud to continue.

United Way of West Florida (UWWF), formerly known as United Way of Escambia County, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024. The nonprofit organization serves Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Officials at Hurlburt Field’s 1 SOW are concerned about a mission delay for crisis response because of the heavy traffic on Hwy. 98.

Col. Wood from Hurlburt addressed the board of the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization saying, “We are part of the problem, and we want to be part of the solution (to traffic problems on Hwy 98).”
