The 2013 legislative session is a wrap, and Florida now has the largest budget in its history at $74.1 billion dollars, of which $30 billion comes from federal sources.  Governor Rick Scott made $368 million line item vetoes to the budget before signing into law as the General Appropriations Act, which takes effect July 1.

The general election to select whether Republican Mike Hill or Democrat Jeremy Lau will fill the seat of the late House District 2 Rep. Clay Ford will be held Tuesday, June 11.
