East Bay K8 art department receives $10K donation

East Bay K-8 School recently received a $10,000 donation for the school’s art department from Navarre benefactors Alan and Lindsey Song. This isn’t the first time the Songs have helped Santa Rosa District Schools.

Pensacola State brings ‘Shakespearience’ to Navarre High

On Oct. 25, Pensacola State College students took to the stage in Jan Savage’s honors theatre class at Navarre High School to perform a 30 minute version of Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor.

The performance is part of six shows PSC is doing across Escambia and Santa Rosa County under the banner of the ‘Shakespearience Caravan.’ All six shows are at high schools.

Santa Rosa Schools scored above average on Florida civic literacy exam

Santa Rosa Schools have surpassed the state average on the Florida Civic Literacy Exam. The Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE) is an assessment that began in the 2021-2022 school year. Students enrolled in US Government courses are required to take the exam.
