A Milton-based group of beekeepers are looking to get the word out on the importance of bees and promote beekeeping. One of these beekeepers is Frank Miller.

Miller is in his fifth year of beekeeping and his first year as president of the Santa Rosa Beekeeping Association.

Their lead singer, Rafaela O’Reilly, has been around music for practically all her life. O’Reilly, whose stage name is ‘Roxie,” was born and raised in Union City, Indiana.

When Governor Ron DeSantis approved the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, he approved $1.5 million for a new, 7200 square foot fire station and training facility in Holley.

Although the allocation was made during the latest legislative cycle, the Holley-Navarre Fire District has been planning on opening up a fire station in Holley for at least 20 years.
