Locals and tourists search for mystery ‘Mermaid Mailbox’ in the Sound
It’s not every day that you see a mailbox surrounded by water. Maybe in an overwater bungalow in the Maldives, but not typically in the Santa Rosa Sound between Navarre and Fort Walton Beach.
People have been posting on social media since July about this mystery mailbox that some are referring to as the “Mermaid Mailbox” or the “Mailbox Beach.” Locals and tourists alike are checking out this community mailbox, which is only accessible by boat, to see what treasures are inside.
