More land purchases to buffer Whiting Field

The development rights or fee simple titles for nine properties near Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton will be purchased through Department of Defense and Enterprise Florida grant funding for just over $1 million. The total acreage of all nine parcels is approximately 491 acres.

Donation to help Monarch Madness soar

Citation, court date issued for sunken boat

As the sunken boat near Juana’s continues to sink into the Santa Rosa Sound, the issue of its removal will now float into the courthouse, as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has issued a citation to the boat’s owner.
