The baby giraffe born two months ago at Gulf Breeze Zoo finally has a name. After a monthlong naming contest, Gulf Breeze Zoo announced Friday that the winning submission was Gamba, which is African in origin and means “warrior.”

According to a former employee, it was quite literally costing the Navarre Church’s Chicken an arm and a leg to stay open. The restaurant, located at 8068 Navarre Parkway, closed its doors Dec.12, and former employees said that the reason for the abrupt close was due to the fact that the location had been losing money.
