A national coaches asso­ciation recognized that Navarre High School’s 2011-2012 girls soccer team earned a Team Academic Award for its overall per­formance in the classroom. Last year’s Lady Raiders compiled a 3.53 team GPA.

Lady Raiders get first-ever win over Gulf Breeze

In Rob Simon’s first year coaching at Navarre, the Raiders lost to Gulf Breeze both during the regular season and in the playoffs. Since then, there have been five years of ties. The Raiders finally broke through on Dec. 17 in an away contest, as the Raiders won in exciting fashion over Gulf Breeze, 5 – 4.
