Loose dogs are a growing concern for neighborhoods in Navarre. The theme of this year’s event was “Make cancer walk the plank” and with the help of local vendors and community members, they did just that.
On a beautiful Sunday morning, several pets made their way to church with their owners to receive a special pet blessing at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Navarre. The Rev. Beth Hoffmann administered the blessing with a sprinkling of holy water.
Two employees of Tom Thumb Stores were arrested Thursday afternoon Oct. 8 as suspects in an employee-related theft over the last several weeks while employees at the store.
The Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 3rd Annual Taste of Gulf Breeze last Friday evening in conjunction with the Gulf Breeze Community Expo. Over 600 people attended this year’s event and sampled delicious appetizers, beverages, and desserts from 18 area restaurants and food and beverage providers while they visited with area businesses. Awards were given for Best Appetizer, Best Beverage and Best Dessert in Restaurant and Specialty Divisions, along with the overall Best of Taste award.
In the early morning hours of June 7, firefighters responded to a fully involved fire at 7057 Summit Drive in Holley by the Sea. According to Holley-Navarre Fire District Chief Ron Norton, the 2,600 square-foot home was a total loss.
