Farm to City feeds 800 families for Thanksgiving

As part of National Farm to City week, Nov. 18-24, the University of Florida/IFAS Extension Service partnered with Feeding the Gulf Coast and other area organizations to provide a complete holiday meal to 800 food insecure families in Santa Rosa and Escambia county Tuesday, Nov. 22.

Congrats to the Navarre High School Raider Football Team for making it to the final four. They play Lake Gibson High School Braves Friday night in Navarre. The team will be traveling from Lakeland which means there be a lot of visitors in our area for the game. The next and final game will be in Orlando at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Camping World Stadium.

Holiday fun is in full swing this weekend

Navarre will be feeling the holiday spirit Saturday, Dec. 3, for the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas in the Park, Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk Fun Run, Navarre Community Christmas Parade and Santa’s Workshop Craft Fair.
