Local seashore management proposes $15 fee to use beach road

Presently there is no fee to drive along Earl Bowden Way, the scenic island corridor between Navarre and Pensacola beaches. Shortly after midnight Nov. 24, Santa Rosa County deputies nabbed four burglary suspects at the Eglin Federal Credit Union, located at 8540 Navarre Parkway. Officers and SWAT team members responded to an alarm activation and found three suspects inside the building. One driver was also taken into custody.
