Blitzing wasn’t supposed to be part of the deal. This was, after all, an all-star game.
But when the West squad blitzed in the second half, the East did the same. And that opened the door for Navarre’s Grady Kelly to go after the quarterback, something he specializes in considering he is the all-time leader in sacks at Navarre.
Joint utility set to fight for water protection

Fairpoint Utility, the collective of water utilities for south Santa Rosa County, announced a new strategy for stopping repeal of water well protections.
A press release issued Dec. 22 addresses a vote by the board of county commissioners (BCC) Dec. 10 to repeal a section of the Comprehensive Plan that would allow expansion of a borrow pit and vegetation dumping over the wells that supply water to all of south Santa Rosa.

The Holley-Navarre Water System board voted 3-to-2 Tuesday to propose a 2021 budget to utility members that includes a 6.2% rate increase. Two board members were absent.
The hike was subdivided into a one-time 5% rate bump and a 1.2% increase based on the Federal Consumer Price Index.

Malik George slapped his hands together out of frustration after a missed layup attempt late in the action of a tightly contested game against Fort Walton Beach last Monday night.
George typically makes big shots – even the tough ones – so missing the easy one didn’t sit well with the Navarre senior.
Kelly makes decision to play for Rams official
