Thursday’s home opener against Pensacola Catholic was a little too close for comfort at the end, but then again, maybe that kind of situation wasn’t such a bad thing for the Navarre Raider volleyball team after all.

Once ahead by a handful of points in the third set, the Raiders trailed 24-23 and felt the pressure rising before responding to close out the Crusaders in three sets with a 27-25 victory.

Why I support Navarre incorporation

I’m a full-time Navarre resident. I support incorporating Navarre, and I will express it to anyone but only if they ask or complain about the seemingly unchecked development and diminishing quality of life in Navarre. Typically, I’m not a bomb-thrower, but the very fact that our county commissioners have denied Navarre residents the fundamental right to choose how they will be governed by refusing to have the issue of Navarre incorporation appear on the ballot is uncontestable evidence that Navarre residents should choose to incorporate in an upcoming independent straw vote.

Navarre opens swim season against rival Gulf Breeze

Navarre didn’t win its season-opening swim meet against Gulf Breeze Monday at the Pullam YMCA, but the Raiders did produce some strong performances.

Among them were first place finishes by Zoe Miller, Lily Byard, Ayven Fields and Tyler Lewis on a hot and sunny afternoon at the Raiders’ home pool.

Navarre Beach Lifeguards is celebrating a milestone for its agency. Earlier this month, Senior Lifeguard Makayla Ludwick won a national championship in the swim rescue competition at the United States Lifeguarding Association (USLA) National Lifeguard Championships in South Padre Island, Texas.

Mysterious positive cards pop up around Navarre

There is a mystery brewing in the aisles of Navarre’s grocery stores.

An anonymous member of Navarre Locals posted a picture of a card they found at Publix in amongst the produce on July 23. Other members of the Facebook group said that they had found similar cards in other stores, like the Neighborhood Walmart.
