Start planning your Easter Egg Hunts. Easter is Sunday, April 5, but the hunt for eggs is on! Starting Saturday at 10 a.m., Navarre United Methodist Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt with many other activities and refreshments. On Sunday, the YMCA is having its hunt at 4 p.m. with plenty of other activities.

This week has been a tough week for Navarre, Santa Rosa County, Florida and the nation. Navarre became the focal point of one of the deadliest domestic military training accidents in recent years. National news crews flew in to report to the country the search and rescue of our finest – which quickly turned to a painful recovery.

The Holley Navarre Water System, Inc. is accepting resumes for general manager. Longtime general manager, Ken Walker, is retiring at the end of March. The qualifications include a “solid” understanding of all aspects of water and sewer utility to include planning, water resources, budgeting, management and related technology. Engineering is a good degree to have to be a manager of a water department, or business – or both. The full list of qualifications can be found in an ad on the classified page of this issue.
