There were more than 150 runners on the girls side and more than 250 in the boys race on a hot and humid morning.

Tied at 22-all, Navarre’s volleyball team was on the brink of avoiding a sweep and forcing a fourth set against the Catholic Crusaders on Tuesday night in Pensacola.

But the Raiders were unable to hold on in this one, falling 25-22. 

The first cross-country meet of September took place on a hot and humid Saturday morning at Sims Middle School in Pace.

But area runners were ready for the challenge.
