School district employee resigns amid alleged financial improprieties

An employee of Santa Rosa County District Schools has resigned from their position after an investigation found that the employee had engaged in “financial improprieties.”

In a statement to Navarre Press, the school district said the resignation came after the employee, later identified as Kelly Short (Allen), was informed of action that would be taken against her employment both immediately and through recommendation of the school board at their next regularly scheduled meeting on Nov. 19, 2024.

Andrews Institute gift to UWF leads to naming of Master of Science in athletic training program

UWF recently announced a $320,000 gift from the Andrews Institute and Baptist Health Care to name the Andrews Institute and Baptist Health Care Master of Science in Athletic Training program, housed in the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health (UKCOH).
