Stanley is stepping into Joe Trujillo’s former role. Trujillo now serves as the principal at Avalon Middle School in Milton.

A number of those players were seniors. Top scoring threat Rachel Leggett, meanwhile, isn’t returning for her senior season as she is focused in on track and her effort to win a state title in the high jump.

My first achievement for the new year was to get COVID. It first made its presence known with a scratchy throat on Tuesday of that first week.

The next morning, it unpacked its bags for a lengthy stay gifting me with what felt like a deluxe cold, the premium version with all the accessories: cough, congestion, headache, fever. I assumed it was only a bad cold.

Navarre High School’s Trujillo starts new chapter as Avalon principal

Joe Trujillo has served as an assistant principal to Navarre High School for the past six and a half years.

Before that he served as the dean of students at Navarre High for two years. Starting Feb. 11, he is taking on the role of principal at Avalon Middle School in Milton.
