Long before coaching basketball at Milton High School or organizing food drives in Santa Rosa County, Jeremy Ruffin was a baby in the foster care system.
While he only spent a few months in the system before being adopted by a preacher and a teacher, Ruffin said where he comes from has shaped his outlook and outreach over the years.

Tallahassee – The Biden administration has urged a U.S. district judge to reject efforts by Florida and other states to block a new federal rule about sex-based discrimination in education programs.
The University of West Florida is launching a Master of Science in Behavior Analysis beginning in Fall 2024, pending approval from the Florida Board of Governors. The UWF Board of Trustees approved the program at a meeting held on May 16.
