We saw that a few weeks ago when Commissioner James Calkins did a reversal so large regarding Juana’s Pagodas and Sailor’s Grill that it should’ve been sponsored by ServPro. To reference the restoration company, it was almost like “it never even happened.”

There was a significant shake-up in Santa Rosa District Schools in June.

At the June 13 school board meeting, the district appointed seven people to new positions at schools throughout the district, including four principals at Holley Navarre Primary School, Avalon Middle School, East Milton Elementary School and Gulf Breeze Elementary School.

With summer upon us, more and more tourists are flocking to Navarre Beach and the rest of Santa Rosa County to soak up the sun’s rays and find new adventures. At a recent meeting of the Tourism Development Council (TDC), Tourism Development Office (TDO) Director Julie White noted a sharp increase in visitors from one of the largest cities in the south, thanks in large part to the county’s marketing efforts.
