Navarre Beach felt the impact of the red tide last week as it contributed to respiratory problems for beachgoers and left the sand littered with dead fish.

Suspect steals two cars, crashes on East Bay Blvd., in Navarre

According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 10 a.m. on Nov. 2, the Florida Highway Patrol requested the assistance of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a stolen vehicle. Troopers advised the vehicle was southbound on Highway 87 after running from a trooper during a traffic stop. During the incident, the vehicle came to a stop on Nichols Lake Road in Milton and the suspect ran from the trooper on foot.

Gov. Scott celebrates completion of U.S. 98 Interchange Project

Gov. Rick Scott celebrated the completion of the U.S. 98/Cody Avenue Interchange Project in Okaloosa County. Valley Road Shooting still under investigation

Shots rang out Friday evening Oct. 30 on Valley Road in Holley by the Sea and when it was over, one person was shot and in critical condition and another is in custody for attempted murder and aggravated assault.
