Baptist Health Care offers array of highly skilled specialists close to home

The local branch of Baptist Medical Park in Navarre is always buzzing with patients seeking top-notch care close to home. Many locals use the facility regularly for the professional and prompt diagnostic imaging and laboratory services offered right around the corner. Those services include fast-turnaround service for ordering physicians and patients with digital X-ray, digital mammography, a 16-slice CT scan, a new bone density (DEXA) scan, and new ultrasound and echocardiogram equipment. The facility also is a collection site for blood draws and urinalysis with physician orders for lab tests.

Navarre man facing child abuse, drug charges

Marshall Shawn Dean, 36, of the 7500 block of Blackjack Circle, was arrested Feb. 26 on first-degree felony charges of aggravated child abuse and possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school grounds, and a third-degree felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
