The local branch of Baptist Medical Park in Navarre is always buzzing with patients seeking top-notch care close to home. Many locals use the facility regularly for the  professional and prompt diagnostic imaging and laboratory services offered right around the corner. The Pensacola Council of the Navy League of the United States announced Feb. 26 that a barracks military training instructor for the Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) received the Margaret Flowers Civic Award for 2015.

Navarre man facing child abuse, drug charges

Marshall Shawn Dean, 36, of the 7500 block of Blackjack Circle, was arrested Feb. 26 on first-degree felony charges of aggravated child abuse and possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school grounds, and a third-degree felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
