When I was in school for journalism we learned about the four elements of design. In fact, all design is CRAP. That is, all design is contrast, repetition, alignment and proximity. CRAP. Proximity is where we’re focusing for today.
November is National Adoption Month, and FamiliesFirst Network (FFN) of Lakeview Center is inviting members of the community to come out throughout the month for the annual Art of Adoption photographic exhibit.
There are 52 career academies in Santa Rosa County Schools. Many of them focus on technical fields and career certifications, but the newest career academy at Navarre High School has a more human goal: create new teachers.

Potential candidates don’t have to file until June. We have a year left until the general election. Wouldn’t your endorsement mean more if you waited and considered more than one candidate? In an email response to our question, NABOR executive director Angela Campbell said, “A recommendation from NABOR is a powerful tool in any political candidate’s arsenal, and not a decision we take lightly.”

The Appalachian Trail is the Footpath for the People and spans nearly 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine. It’s a bucket list item for the most serious of hikers. There are also sections that make for great day hikes for those with less experience.
Lifeguards left Navarre Beach Oct. 29, and despite the number of beach visitors more than doubling, the guards closed the books on a season of fewer rescues and no drownings.
