Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with the homicide of Danika Troy, 14, who was reported as a runaway Monday, Dec. 1. Troy’s body was found the following day and Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was Troy Dec. 3.

Raider girls basketball team keeps unbeaten record intact

Alaina Youngblood buried a 3-pointer, sending the home crowd into a frenzy, including the student section, as she pushed the Navarre Raiders’ point total past 10 in a game against Baker last Tuesday night.

This was Navarre’s silent night game, meaning the fans had to stay quiet until the Raiders reached 10. Youngblood’s shot did that and a little more, extending the lead to 12-0 over the Gators.

Holley-Navarre Fire District gets dive rescue certified

Holley Navarre Fire District personnel spent part of this fall getting Public Safety Water Rescue Dive certified.
The training consisted of open water diving, scuba diving and public safety diving, which is a weeklong class in swimming pools, the East River and Santa Rosa Sound.

Golf and NJROTC rewarding experience for Lisa Taing

Lisa Taing is the commanding officer of Navarre’s NJROTC unit, which means a lot of responsibility is on her shoulders.

In the fall, she was also on the Raider golf team and that served as an opportunity to get away for a bit and enjoy a game she has grown to love.
