Santa Rosa County Commission Chairman Don Salter, the District 3 commissioner since 2000, was named board chairman Nov. 18. Since then, in the wake of voters rejecting a temporary tax to fund a new county courthouse, Salter proposed an early 2015 workshop to devise ways to increase county revenues.
