County accepting RESTORE project applications

Santa Rosa County is accepting proposals for projects to be included in the county’s RESTORE Multi-Year Implementation Plan. Approximately $4.3 million is available to Santa Rosa County in the first dollars offered through the RESTORE Act. This initial release of funding is a small part of an estimated $20 million to $75 million Santa Rosa County is expected to receive once litigation and Clean Water Act fines against BP are finalized. Operation Recreation GeoTour reaches 10K visitors

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service recently announced that the GeoTour has officially reached 10,000 visitors at Florida State Parks in just over six months. The Florida Park Service officially launched Operation Recreation GeoTour on June 15, 2014.
