Rustom authoring a stellar comeback story in track and field

In an empty Bennett C. Russell Stadium last fall, Ameer Rustom is throwing the javelin, putting in the work to prepare for a track season that, at the time, was still a few months away. Earlier that year, Rustom was at a low point in his athletic career, a torn ACL sidelined him for his senior season of football at Navarre and left his future in track and weightlifting hanging in the balance.
Ameer Rustom tore his ACL a little over eight months ago but is back to competing in track and field.
