Sarah Shipley smiled as she popped off of the bench after her final lift, clenching her fists and stretching out her arms before leaping over to her teammates to celebrate a personal exclamation point kind of moment at the District 1-3A girls weightlifting meet Wednesday afternoon in Niceville.
Shipley hit a new PR on the bench with a 185-pound lift, willing herself to get the bar up despite the extra strength it took to do it and clinching a district championship in traditional along the way.
