We have people in Navarre living in trash piles. I don’t care if they are white, brown or black, the Santa Rosa County Commissioners job is to make sure all residents are provided safe livable housing that meets the basic human needs and sanitary healthy living condition. The trash I have seen is in no way safe or healthy livable. If we get a storm, hurricane or cold weather the people would suffer. Could those places they call home have mold or something that could make them sick. They are unsafe. Those people are our residents, from what I have seen they are red blooded Americans. I know the County can do a better job of providing for the poor here in Navarre. First, we need low income housing and then we need shelters in case of a hurricane or storm. The Commissioners should take the time to write better code enforcement regulation, the County Commissioners should do its job and write strict rules for the Health Department and Code Enforcement and make them follow the new rules because the old ones has no place in Navarre. Unless it’s a rich person or someone trying to get more tax money out of the residents the Commissioners turns a blind eye to the poor here in Navarre, yet they will spend every dime on themselves, and helping the wealthy business, the birds, turtles and their friends. This is not how God wanted us to live as his children.
