The Santa Rosa County legislative delegation will hold its annual public hearing from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway.

Navarre sweeps Mosley for major in-region victory

Navarre’s volleyball team notched a big win over Mosley on the road Thursday night in a battle of state-ranked teams.
The 14th-ranked Raiders swept the No. 12 Dolphins 25-23, 25-21 and 25-22 to improve to end a three-game losing streak and improve to 10-5 on the season.

Navarre aims to end a four-game losing streak that dates back to last season when it hosts Rickards at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at Bennett C Russell Stadium.
The Raiders are 0-2 this year and haven’t won since Oct. 28 of last year when they beat Gulf Breeze 28-24 in the Beach Bowl.

Navarre’s Wat Florida Buddharam hosts Royal Thai Embassy consular service

A consular team from the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington DC, led by Consul Sart Chaivoraphorn, organized a mobile consular service at Wat Florida Buddharam in Navarre for Thai people living in northwest Florida. Chaivoraphorn and his team visited the area Aug. 18 to 20.

County commissioners tiring of Calkins’ ‘grandstanding’
