Soon it will be so long June and hello July.


That’s when everything starts to ramp up a little more on the football field as the Navarre Raiders inch closer to the start of preseason camp and the 2024 campaign.

Jacob Walsh gained a lot of valuable experience a season ago playing alongside veteran talent on the Navarre Raiders’ offensive line.


It was players like Charlie Cottrell, Jaxson Spalla and Cam Pollard, three leaders up front who Walsh was able to learn from.

Navarre Xpress has made strong performances a habit. It was no exception at the Region 9 Qualifier in Lake City the weekend of June 22.

Quentin Randolph caught a touchdown pass for the seventh time in the last eight games as he helped the Vegas Knight Hawks edge the Arizona Rattlers 55-50 on June 22.

More changes have been made to Navarre’s football schedule, including the District 1-6A opener now being played on a Thursday night.


The Raiders will face Tate Sept. 26 in Cantonment while their battle against Choctaw has been switched back to a Friday after originally being moved to a Thursday night because of an official shortage.

Ethan Newman remembers his first game day experience on a college football field. It was against Furman, the No.7 FCS team in the country at the time.

Jacob Crowder is headed into his senior season of football with the Navarre Raiders.


And he is taking each day to prepare for the season ahead.

Hailey Netro is always working on her golf game. Be it in a tournament, on her own, or with a golf coach, Netro is putting herself in a position to be the best player she can be.

Navarre’s Izzy Zach came through with a strong showing at USA Weightlifting Nationals in Pittsburgh this week.


Zach, who lifts for the Raiders and won a state championship for the first time this past season, finished second in her division (81 KG).

Angela Puckett is pleased with what she has seen from the Navarre Raider girls basketball team this summer.


It is especially encouraging considering this is a Raider team that has no returning starters and is looking to lay a foundation now for the 2024-25 campaign.
