Pace wins pitcher’s duel to end Raiders’ season
The Lady Raiders’ softball team easily defeated Washington in the opening round of the District 1-6A tournament April 16 at Milton. Two days later, the same Navarre High School bats that scored 15 runs in two innings against the Wildcats were virtually silent against Pace as the Raiders lost 1-0 in a pitcher’s duel.
Navarre outlasts Milton for marathon district win
Robby Miller’s unassisted double play in the bottom of the 13th inning Monday preserved a 4-3 Navarre High School win, ended Milton’s baseball season and sent the Raiders into the District 1-6A baseball semifinals.
Lifters to compete at state
Four Navarre High School weightlifters will compete in the Florida High School Athletics Association Class 2A state championship tomorrow, April 19, in Kissimmee.
Lady Raiders finish regular season on a winning note
The Navarre High School Lady Raiders softball team warmed up for this week’s district playoffs with victories against Fort Walton Beach and Choctawhatchee. A game scheduled against Gulf Breeze on April 11 was canceled and not rescheduled.

Navarre High School played three District 1-6A baseball contests last week; the Raiders were shut out twice and scored a season-high number of runs in the other.

Lady Raiders shut out Pine Forest, Escambia
The Lady Raiders’ softball team won an easy 10-0 victory against Pine Forest on April 2 at Navarre High School. Two days later it was a different story; there was nothing easy in an extra-inning win against Escambia. The teams were locked in a scoreless pitching duel before the Raiders scored seven runs in the ninth inning for the win.
Budo Dojo students earn 10 trophies
The Budo Dojo Martial Arts Club recently competed in the Northwest Florida Spring Martial Arts Championships sponsored by Gordon Martial Arts in Crestview. Six students competed in a variety of divisions, earning a total of 10 trophies. They were:
Raiders finish fourth at Andrews Invite
MOBILE, Ala. – Navarre has excelled in middle-distance running events most of the 2013 track season. On Saturday, April 6, the Raiders’ 4 x 800-meter relay tested its mettle in the Mobile Challenge of Champions invitational meet and finished fourth.
Raiders place 2nd at Panhandle Championship; girls 7th
Nick Benton won two gold medals March 28 to lead Navarre High School to a second-place finish at the Panhandle Track and Field Championships.
