The Navarre Raiders’ four-game winning streak was snapped last Friday as the Niceville Eagles’ defense dominated host Navarre in a 26-0 rout Friday at Bennett C. Russell Stadium. The loss also snapped a string of three straight wins for Navarre (4-3) against its Okaloosa County rival.

The Navarre volleyball team remained winless in district play last week following two losses to Crestview and Tate.

The Navarre High School girls golf team played well and won last Tuesday’s three-team golf match at The Club at Hidden Creek in Navarre.

FORT WALTON BEACH – Navarre routed Fort Walton Beach 34-7 Friday at Steve Riggs Stadium, putting a second district title and third playoff berth in four years squarely in the Raiders’ sites.

The Lady Raiders lost to Niceville in three games last Thursday at home.

The Navarre High School swimming and diving team has been busy setting a few school records and personal bests already this season.

The early bird gets the worm — or at least runs very well in cross country meets.  The Raiders had to board a bus at 4:30 a.m. for the 90-minute trek to their meet last Saturday.  Despite the early travel time, the Navarre High boys and girls cross country team both finished fourth in the 5th Annual Mosley Dolphin Dash held in Lynn Haven, just outside of Panama City. 

Navarre blocked a pair of Milton field goal attempts in the first half and allowed the Panthers just a single first down and 13 total yards after halftime to secure a 19-0 non-district road win Friday.

The Navarre High School girls golf team finished in the middle of the pack at last week’s Miracle Strip Tournament in Fort Walton Beach.

Perhaps it was a good omen the player introductions were interrupted for Sheila Faris to be asked to homecoming by Colton Boney. Soon after, the Raiders won their match for the second time in a week by defeating the Choctaw Indians three games-to-one at home on Sept 19.
