Caleb Long needed a moment to catch his breath after putting in hard work to help Navarre’s boys soccer team notch a 3-0 win over Mosley last Thursday night.

Long played with added motivation and inspiration considering it was senior night for the Raiders, who won their third consecutive game and continue to thrive in the first month of 2021.

Call it Lucky No. 13 for Navarre’s girls basketball team.

And while it took overtime to get the job done, the Raiders have matched their win total from last season, earning a hard-fought 56-53 win over Crestview at home Thursday night.

Jelina Bly was one of 10 Raiders to win her respective weight class in a dual meet against Gulf Breeze last Wednesday afternoon.

Bly placed first in the 101-pound division with a combined lift of 325, helping the Raiders dominate the Dolphins by sweeping all 10 weight classes.

There was a time last year when the Raiders weren’t even sure they’d get a season. That makes having this opportunity a little more meaningful.

 It was a battle from start to finish but Navarre’s boys basketball team found a way to take out Tate for the second time this season.

The Raiders grinded out a 61-54 victory, notching their fifth win of the season, and they did it behind three players scoring in double digits, including 21 from Malik George.

Hunter Wallace stood just yards away from the goal, her breath visible in the frosty January air, as she plotted out her next move.

A penalty kick opportunity awaited the junior standout and she was determined to cash in on it.
