For God’s Sake: No time for frantic preparation when Jesus returns

I awoke with a start in full panic mode. It was morning and sunlight flooded our tiny motel room. Shaking my wife, I shouted, “Get up, we overslept! We’re going to miss the ferry!” We bounded out of bed, threw on clothes, and wrangled our suitcases out of the room.

It appears the way some of the officials who help run high school athletics in the state is about as laughable as a night at the comedy club. The humor never stops. I’m no weather expert, but hurricanes aren’t a new thing to Florida.

For God’s Sake: Attitudes toward Halloween participation vary widely

“Do we have enough candy?” my wife’s text read. It was Halloween, she was leaving work, and her commute would take her past several grocery stores. I considered last year’s brisk trick-or-treat traffic and replied, “You should pick up another bag.”

For God’s Sake: God’s will is like a new car

My wife and I just bought a new car. Our old car was making strange sounds that threatened to leave us stranded.

Car purchasing is a rare experience for us because we keep our cars for a long time. This experience was quite pleasant, unlike our first car-buying experience.

Out and About

I’m on the road a lot between the Milton, Crestview and Navarre offices and I love listening to Podcasts.

I should be able write off my car as a rolling university, but I’m sure the IRS wouldn’t go for that. I recently listened to Chris Wark of ChrisBeatsCancer.com on a podcast that caught my attention because I thought it was about Breast Cancer awareness month.

One in eight

In September 2020, she found a lump in her breast.

She was taking a shower like any other day. She wasn’t examining herself, she just felt it. She immediately burst into to tears because in some ways, this was the day she had been dreading since 1995.
