For God’s Sake: Grace is God’s unearned favor
I follow a Florida-based jazz guitarist on Facebook. I learned about him through my online search for other guitarists who play an archtop guitar made by a little-known luthier.
This guitarist has one, and we corresponded briefly about our love for these guitars.

Driving me crazy
It’s hard to believe I’ve been back overseeing the Crestview News Bulletin and Santa Rosa’s Press Gazette for more than two months now.
There have been some minor hiccups along the way, more on that later, but overall the job has gone better than I could have hoped.

MaxPreps has a much bigger role now in high school athletics than it once did.
That status update is the result of the FHSAA partnering up with it when it comes to calculating rankings that determines who goes and who stays home when it comes to the postseason in all sports.

For God’s Sake: I was surprised at being hacked; God was not.
I have now joined the growing ranks of people whose Facebook account has been hacked.
One Saturday morning a few weeks ago, I received a notification from Facebook that my paid ad was now approved and running. I had posted a paid ad for COMPASS Church where I am pastor, but that ad had been running for several days.

For God’s Sake: To live is Christ, and to die is gain

I have had several watershed moments in my life, and the Apostle Paul’s words in Philippians 1:21 reminded me of one of them.

Haason Reddick leads the NFL in sacks. He’s having a postseason to remember.
And on Sunday he’ll play in the Super Bowl with the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Out and About
We had the opportunity to speak with a few members of the Navarre Krewe of Jesters last week and I was glad we did.
It was certainly a lesson for both of us. We, of course, know what time of year the Mardi Gras parade is, but we don’t necessarily know when all the events are.
