A few weeks ago, we were congratulating Navarre High School football coach, Jay Walls, on his 200th win.
So, when we heard about his 100th win, we were confused.

We are looking for additional writers and correspondents for all three of our news organizations. And we need an administrative assistant for the front office at Navarre Press.

Someone recently thought that we left someone off the arrest report on purpose – luckily, we found that person in our arrest reports.

Fall is officially here, although the 87-degree temperatures don’t convince me. The mornings are a little cooler, but when you are still in the upper 80s during the day, we will just keep waiting for the temperatures to catch up with the months they are supposed to be in.

Congratulations on football coach Jay Walls’ 200th win at Navarre High School! It was an exciting district win over Tate High School with a final score of 45-42.

I was sad to hear of the passing of Don Salter. He was on the Santa Rosa Board of County Commissioners for twenty years and would be there now if he was re-elected in 2020. He has contributed to the betterment of our county during his time on the commission.

Have you noticed that the Weather Channel has turned into the town crier touting that the end is near? I noticed recently that the Weather Channel started naming all the winter storms. However, when I looked it up, they apparently decided to start naming winter storms in 2012. We used to just have named hurricanes but that wasn’t enough.
