State seeks input on water quality priorities
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) is holding six meetings around the state to take public input on the department’s water quality assessment and restoration priorities during the next two years. One of the six meetings will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., March 13, at the FDEP Northwest District Office, 160 W. Government Street, Pensacola.

Construction of new artificial reef begins at Perdido Key
Construction of a new snorkeling reef began Feb. 27 in Perdido Key. The artificial reef is located near a public access area off Sandy Key Drive. Funded by the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST), construction is expected to be complete within the next few days.
