The Santa Rosa County School District was recognized by the American Heart Association as a Fit-Friendly worksite. The district received Gold Level recognition, which is awarded to work sites that offer employees physical activity support, promote a wellness culture and implement physical and nutritional activities.

In celebration of the American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, Gulf Islands National Seashore hosted a sunset hike at Fort Pickens June 7.
