Two dogs saved, one dog dies in Navarre house fire
Homeowners on Rue La Fontaine gathered around in horror Friday, June 7, as one of their neighbors’ homes went up in smoke. Three dogs were inside the house at the time of the fire. Two were rescued and one perished.
The house in question is located at 1913 Rue La Fontaine.

Navarre High student selected for elite U.S. Navy Summer Flight Academy
While some high school students will spend this summer doing odd jobs or hanging out with friends, Lauren Mavity, a student at Navarre High School will complete an intensive eight-week U.S. Navy Summer Flight Academy aviation program at Delaware State University, achieving her FAA Private Pilot’s license upon completion of the training. The program takes place from June 9 – Aug. 2.
