Fourth Street in Navarre may soon have a U-Haul dealership.

Leah Rojecki, who owns land in between Fourth Street and the Exxon gas station which connects to Highway 98, has notified Santa Rosa County Development Services of her intent to add a business to the property.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office investigation into an act of vandalism and property damage which led to the destruction of soccer fields at Tiger Point Park has led to the arrest of a suspect. Chance Tate, 20, of Gulf Breeze, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 17, and charged with damaging property with criminal mischief.

After a cold front moves through the area this weekend, some wintery precipitation is very likely Tuesday in Northwest Florida, according to the National Weather Service in Mobile. Saturday is projected to be the warmest day we’ve had in a while with highs close to 70, followed by cold precipitation on Tuesday. The Navarre Beach Restoration Project continues to make steady progress along the beach. The project began on Monday, Dec. 23 on the west end of Navarre Beach.
