Baptist Hospital is celebrating its one-year anniversary at its new location at Brent Lane and I-110. The new Baptist Hospital emergency doors opened at 3 a.m. on Sept. 23, 2023, at which time the very first patient arrived. Beginning at 5 a.m. that morning, all patients at the E and Moreno street Legacy campus were safely transported to the new Brent Lane location by noon.

Johns, 7, has Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), a condition that causes seizures and developmental delays. He also has cortical visual impairment (CVI), meaning he is partially blind but can see high-contrast images.

While it wasn’t the Masters at Augusta, Georgia, there plenty of excitement in the air for the first ever Pensacola Bay Mini-Golf Melee. The mini-golf event, put on by the Gulf Coast Council of Scouting America’s Pensacola Bay District, brought together a variety of local organizations and leaders from Escambia and Santa Rosa County for friendly competition and to raise funds for local Scouting activities.
