Adolescents learn water skills, lifesaving measures at Junior Lifeguard camp
With the summer in full swing, Navarre Beach Lifeguards have invited a new crop of Junior Lifeguards to participate in their series of camps.
At the camps, held during the week throughout June, adolescents ages 8 to 15 learn the ins and outs of lifeguarding, from water rescue skills to CPR and first aid. This is the fifth year Navarre Beach Lifeguards is hosting the program.

Krafty Kids Expo gives children opportunity to earn, save money
While other children are earning allowances through household chores or yardwork, a group of just over a dozen children were earning money from strangers earlier this month by selling products, from lemonade to crochet stuffed animals to bracelets.
The children are young entrepreneurs and were at Pik-Itz’s Saturday morning market June 7 for the Highway 87 Krafty Kids Expo.

Junior Leadership Class 2 announced
In partnership with Gulf Breeze Chamber of Commerce, Santa Rosa County District Schools is all set for year two of its Junior Leadership Santa Rosa class.
This past school year, students from across Santa Rosa County high schools met together to learn more about their communities, from industry to government to the latest technological advancements in robotics.

Former Adams Sanitation boss and Okaloosa County Commissioner Nathan Boyles has officially been elected to the Florida Legislature.
The newly elected public official will serve as the State Representative for District 3, which represents most of Santa Rosa County the north part of Okaloosa County.
