Navarre shop owner sentenced for tax fraud
Patrick Alfred Anderson, 62, of Laughlin, Nev., was sentenced last week to two years in federal prison for income tax fraud. Anderson operated shops throughout the panhandle, including one in Navarre.

ATM robbery
Shortly after midnight Nov. 24, Santa Rosa County deputies nabbed four burglary suspects at the Eglin Federal Credit Union, located at 8540 Navarre Parkway. Officers and SWAT team members responded to an alarm activation and found three suspects inside the building. One driver was also taken into custody.

Milton day care owner facing felony child abuse charge
A woman caring for a 15-month-old in her home day care was charged with aggravated child abuse, a first-degree felony, after the toddler ended up in the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with traumatic injuries Oct. 24.
