Ensley Township, Mich. (AP) — A 48-year-old western Michigan woman has been arrested in the death of her husband who was shot five times in their Ensley Township home.

Fugitive John Wesley Saatio was on the run when he was apprehended by Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies Sunday evening, July 3.  Saatio escaped Saturday when he reportedly fled a private inmate transportation company’s custody at 10:30 p.m. at the I-10 rest area at mile marker 29 in Santa Rosa County.  Saatio was extradited last week from Costa Rica after escaping custody last year in Michigan. News reports state that Saatio also escaped custody in Costa Rica after he was initially caught – and then caught again.

A Navarre man was arrested on third-degree felony battery charges Wednesday, June 22 after he allegedly attempted to strangle his wife.

A Navarre woman was arrested Wednesday, June 22 on felony cyberstalking charges after more than a year after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

A June 14 argument between a father and son ended with both being arrested after the father, Bruce Thumm pulled a gun while the two were arguing at a home in Gulf Breeze.

A Navarre woman was arrested Friday, May 27 on a charge of second-degree felony neglect of an elderly or disabled adult with great harm.

An Okaloosa County teen, 17-year old Michael Tylor Sharon, is accused of attacking his stepfather with a knife after a fight over an X-box Friday night. 

A Pace man is behind bars on a charge of homicide that could cause death, after a domestic violence fight with his girlfriend.  The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office report says that Joseph Bruney of Sequoia Drive in Pace stabbed or cut his girlfriend multiple times, and she was taken to the hospital.

Terrance Davin Frazier, 30, of Florosa Court in Mary Esther is being held in Santa Rosa County for the armed robbery of a Dollar General Store, located at 9576 Navarre Parkway. Initially Frazier provided the Mary Esther address upon arrest but subsequently the new address he provided is in the 8200 block of Lucena Street in Navarre.
