Bradley Savage, age 25 of Navarre, was arrested for Battery on a law enforcement officer and Resisting an officer with violence during a house party investigation on Jan. 2.
Medina sentenced for DUI Manslaughter
Keanu Medina of Navarre was sentenced to 10.38 years in a Florida Department of Corrections prison facility. According to information provided by State Attorney Bill Eddins’ office, the first four years are a minimum-mandatory sentence. Following his release from prison, Medina was ordered to serve four years of probation. His driver’s license was suspended for life.
House parent charged with lewd and lascivious molestation
In a disturbing report by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, 59-year-old Michael Joseph Hellen of Fort Walton Beach has been charged with molesting a teenage girl younger than 16 but older than 12.
Parents stored acid in sippy cup
Kyle and Amber Cooley in Milton were arrested Dec. 10 on charges of felony child neglect and possession and production of drugs and drug equipment stemming from a 911 call Amber Cooley made Dec. 9.
Police say shooting involved drugs
A drug deal nearly turned deadly Friday night, Dec. 11. Santa Rosa deputies say that Tyjuwan Jahdeil Vades Jenkins, a 17-year-old Navarre male, agreed to meet another subject at the Tom Thumb located at Laredo Street and Highway 87 south to buy marijuana. At some point during their meeting, Jenkins pointed a gun at the other male and shot him in the leg.
Hale convicted on two counts of attempted murder
According to a release issued by the State Attorney Bill Eddins, Normond L. Hale was convicted by a Santa Rosa jury on Dec. 10, 2015 on two counts of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm and for shooting within a building.

DNA evidence leads deputies to burglar
A Navarre man with a 10-year criminal history was arrested for burglary after DNA left at the scene led Okaloosa County deputies to him. Alonzo Borum of Chaparral Street in Navarre is accused of committing a burglary at a Fort Walton Beach residence on Aug. 26, 2014, more than a year ago.
Lindsay held on murder charges
Just five days after his release on drug charges from a traffic stop, Christopher Alexander Lindsay is being held on a $3million bond and is charged with murder.
Navarre teen arrested on drugs and weapon charges
A Navarre teen, James Taylor, 18, and his accomplice Tristan Turner, 17, were arrested Nov. 30 in Milton on various felony charges including using a weapon in the commission of a felony, intent to sell marijuana and larceny.
