Temporary Animal Services hours extended through December
Santa Rosa County Animal Services has extended their temporary hours of operation through the month of December.

This will continue to allow time for staff training and on-boarding of new shelter employees.

A Navarre couple has turned their front yard into a Christmas experience, complete with regular visits from Santa Claus. The Christmas photo opportunity at 2010 Commodore Drive in Holley by the Sea, is open for visitors through Dec. 20.

Santa Claus, aka John Delbert, will be out there every Friday and Saturday evening from 6 to 8 to meet with children and give out gift bags.

A South Santa Rosa County non-profit gave back to the community the weekend before Thanksgiving by boxing up non-perishable food and adding toiletries, a grocery gift card, and an Interfaith Thrift Store and Ministries holiday shopping gift certificate for over 200 families.

Navarre Press asked students in East Bay K-8’s ACES program to tell us what they are grateful for this year. The students were in third, fourth and fifth grades. ACES, which is Santa Rosa County School District’s gifted program, spend one day a week in Glenn Rutland’s classroom.
