A South Santa Rosa County non-profit gave back to the community the weekend before Thanksgiving by boxing up non-perishable food and adding toiletries, a grocery gift card, and an Interfaith Thrift Store and Ministries holiday shopping gift certificate for over 200 families.
She was a friend to everyone she crossed paths with. Those characteristics helped define who the loving wife, mother, sister and friend was in her 51 years of life.
Navarre Press asked students in East Bay K-8’s ACES program
to tell us what they are grateful for this year. The students
were in third, fourth and fifth grades. ACES, which is Santa
Rosa County School District’s gifted program, spend one day a
week in Glenn Rutland’s classroom.

In a small room at Northwest Florida State College, eight newly trained veterans and their canine partners graduated from training Friday. These new Healing Paws for Warrior teams went through eight weeks of training and passed tests indicating that they were ready to work together.
