Navarre High Athlete of the Week

Derek Puello has been among the top runners for the Navarre Raider cross-country team this season.

At a meet in Gulf Breeze on Oct. 7, Puello set a new personal-best as he clocked in with a time of 17:04.

It was a huge jump for Puello after he finished the race in 17:45 at the Booker T. Washington Wildcat Invitational at the University of West Florida in September.

Puello also runs track for the Raiders and is looking to help Navarre qualify for a regional berth this season.
