Small lizards underfoot in south end of county

If you noticed what seemed like a large number of tiny brown lizards in the Navarre area this summer, you are not alone.
Brown anoles, also known as Cuban anoles, are an invasive species. Some Navarre residents are seeing more of them this year, perhaps because it was a wet summer. Photo by Dickie Williams
