Navarre High Athlete of the Week

Jaya McDonald started the golf season unsure of how things would go after having surgery in the offseason.

But the junior standout for the Navarre Raiders has made quite the comeback, playing in a handful of events in the regular season.

At the District 1-3A tournament at Stonebrook in Pace on Oct. 26, McDonald shook off a tough start to her day and led the way for her team with an 83.

The score was good enough to earn her a bid to the regional for the third consecutive season.
